The Story Behind The March 14th Wreck

Three vehicles were involved in a wreck on Tuesday, March 14th, at the intersection of NC HWY 211 and Seven Lakes Drive.

A fifty-three year old male, driving a 2015 Ford, was traveling east on NC HWY 211, turning North onto Seven Lakes Drive. The driver failed to yield at the light and proceeded to turn left.

He was turning his vehicle at the intersection, he was struck by a 2003 Toyota, traveling west on NC HWY 211. The Toyota, driven by a sixty-five year old female, made impact at about forty-five miles per hour.

The impact flipped the Ford onto its side and spun it until it faced south on Seven Lakes Drive. It made impact with a third vehicle stopped at the light. The third vehicle was a 2006 Honda, facing south on Seven Lakes Drive.

First responders to the incident included Seven Lakes Fire Department, West End Fire Department, Moore County EMS, and the Sheriff’s Department.

The Toyota driver was taken to Moore County Regional Hospital by Moore County EMS for pain in her wrist.

The total estimated vehicle damages were estimated at about $12,000.
