FirstHealth Hospice’s Annual “Light Up a Life” Ceremony Set for Nov. 15

FirstHealthFirstHealth

For more than 20 years, the Light Up a Life Ceremony has been an annual tradition, offering a time of remembrance and reflection for those whose loved ones were cared for by FirstHealth Hospice & Palliative Care.

This year, the 2018 Light Up a Life ceremony will be held Thursday, Nov. 15 at 5 p.m. at a new location – Christ Community Church located at 220 Campground Road in West End across from the FirstHealth Hospice campus.  A reception will follow.

Also new this year is the opportunity to purchase luminarias to honor and remember loved ones. A donation of $200 or more will allow for individual names to be highlighted on a luminaria. These  memorials will be placed around the Labyrinth in the FirstHealth Hospice Gardens and will light up each night, so that family members can visit the gardens on the campus throughout the holiday season.

Each light that shines throughout the holiday season will represent a contribution supporting the mission of FirstHealth Hospice, which offers services in Moore, Hoke, Lee and Montgomery counties, and reflects a symbol of holiday giving to benefit others throughout the holiday season.

The only not-for-profit hospice organization serving Moore County, FirstHealth Hospice & Palliative Care is also the only hospice associated with FirstHealth of the Carolinas.

The FirstHealth Hospice Foundation supports FirstHealth Hospice & Palliative Care through generous contributions from the community. Funds raised are available to offset annual operational deficits and ensure that no one is ever turned away because of their ability to pay.
