FoxFire Golf – Choose Your Greens

Mike Parah became the new General Manager of Foxfire Golf on August 13th, 2018.  Mike has been a PGA Member since 1988, and his goal is to build up the golf program at Foxfire.

“I’m watching it grow and seeing how to change it,” he said.  “The golf course is phenomenal.  We have the best greens in the area.”

Foxfire is unique in that it features two separate courses, the Grey course and the Red course.

Foxfire Golf is currently owned by Brown Golf, who also owns its sister company, the Country Club of Whispering Pines.  Whispering Pines also features two separate courses – River and Pines.

Golfing guests may choose to play at any of the four courses provided at the locations.  That’s 72 holes to play – perfect for those who crave variety.

Mike played golf in Pinehurst during his time as a professional in 1985 and has a love for the Moore County area.

He was a General Manager at a course in Greensboro before receiving a call from John Brown to come and visit Foxfire.

Mike hopes to improve the tee time system, renovate the pro shop, take down trees on the golf course, and make additional changes as they are needed.

Mike came on board just in time to help Foxfire Golf celebrate its 50th Anniversary in November 2018.

“I’d like to get to know the community.  Come out and see us,” Mike said.

Mike hopes to incorporate live music into Foxfire Golf as well as Friday night dinners.  Foxfire Golf also offers lessons and custom club fittings for golfers who are looking to add an extra edge to their game.

Foxfire Golf is located at 9 Foxfire Boulevard in Jackson Springs.  For more information, please call (910) 295-5555 or visit FoxfireGolf.com.
