NINE-YEAR-OLD BOY DONATES BOOKS TO NICU AT MOORE REGIONAL

While most children look forward to receiving presents for their birthday, Cash Johnson of Sanford, looks forward to giving presents to babies and their families in the NICU at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.  For the second year in a row, all Cash wanted for his birthday was baby books to donate to Moore Regional’s NICU where he was a patient for two weeks when he was born.  On his ninth birthday on June 28, he was able to donate 31 books, 10 more than he collected last year.  Pictured with Cash (center) are (from left) Beth Tabor, R.N., administrative director of FirstHealth women and children’s department; Cash’s mom Mandy Johnson; Kelli Baker, R.N. and Cynthia Whitaker, R.N., nurse manager.
