Moore County Health Department Orders Shutdown of All Self-Service Food Buffets & Salad Bars

In an effort to further curb the spread of coronavirus (COVID – 19) infection in Moore County , Health Director Robert Wittmann issued an order to shut down operation of all self – service food buffets and/or salad bars in all Moore County establishments where those services are available. The order went into effect at 5:00PM on March 19th , 2020 and will remain in place until further notice.

This order expands upon Governor Roy Cooper’s Executive Order 118 from March 17th which ordered that all North Carolina restaurants and bars will be close d to sit – down service and limited to take – out or delivery orders only. Grocery stores, gas stations, and convenience stores, were exempt from order 118 and remain open, though they are not permitted to serve sit – down food.
