Landscape Design Innovation Group (LDIG), a locally owned design-build firm serving Moore County, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with the debut of The Patio, a large-scale, interactive outdoor living display built to educate, engage and inspire.

Covering more than 30,000 square feet, The Patio combines high-end hardscaping, pool construction and real-world outdoor living features into a single, walkable environment that highlights LDIG’s craftsmanship, creativity and commitment to quality. Designed as both a display and a destination, The Patio gives homeowners and community members a chance to explore what’s possible when outdoor space is done right.

“We wanted to create something people could walk through, touch and feel – not just see on paper or online,” said JT Youmans, LDIG’s Operations Manager. “The Patio lets you touch the materials, hear the water features, and picture your own yard coming to life. It’s a space built to start conversations.”

The display includes more than 5,000 square feet of horizontal hardscapes, featuring interlocking pavers, natural travertine and North Carolina-sourced stone. Vertical elements include 750 square feet of retaining walls, stacked stone, and segmental wall systems built at multiple elevations to demonstrate how space can be shaped and layered.

At the center of the space is a custom 20×26 in-ground vinyl liner pool, equipped with a tanning ledge, LED lighting, laminar jets, shears, water bowls and full Hayward automation. Steps away, a timber-framed pavilion and pergola combo covers a full outdoor kitchen, including a grill, flat top griddle, pizza oven, and wood-burning fireplace.

“The Patio isn’t just for showing off hardscapes,” said Jeremy Rust, Owner of LDIG. “We built this as a space where people can actually learn how to use their outdoor living areas. We’re going to be teaching classes on everything from smoking ribs to cooking breakfast on a griddle. It’s not just a project; it’s a place to engage with the lifestyle.”

LDIG has also developed a turf area known as The Lawn, which will host community events such as movie nights, yoga, seasonal markets, and educational workshops focused on outdoor space maintenance, design, and cooking techniques.

The company’s slogan, “Make Outdoor Living Possible,” is at the heart of the entire project. It’s not just branding, it’s the goal behind everything LDIG designs and builds.

“We’re not just building patios and pools, we’re helping people rethink how they use their space,” added Youmans. “The Patio is our way of putting that vision on display.”
