Seven Lakes Fire and Rescue will host its third annual Community Appreciation Night on Friday, Sept. 5 at the Fire Department, 718 Seven Lakes Drive.

Put on your dancing shoes and break out your best shag steps. The popular Sand Band will perform from 6 to 9 p.m.

Food trucks will begin serving at 5 p.m. Vendors are expected to include Grill me Up, Cousins Maine Lobster, Everything Rolled, Sweet Pines, Ruckus City Kitchen, Fry Papi, Sunset Slush and Sandhills Winery.

Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase through the Seven Lakes-owned Sandhills Winery.

No outside food or drinks are allowed. Pets will not be permitted unless they are certified service animals.

Bring your own camp chair to this rain or shine event. The bay floor is not well-suited for blankets. Accommodations will be made for those with handicap needs to the best of the department’s ability.

The Seven Lakes Stables has partnered with the department to provide parking in the upper pasture, accessible from Seven Lakes Drive.

This event has attracted 1,000 community members for each of its first two years. The free concert is a “thank you” for the support the citizens of Seven Lakes and the surrounding community has given to the department for over four decades.
