Dena Delucia, co-owner of Delucia’s Bakeshop, opened her bakery on the second night of Hanukkah, Dec. 15, for a festive celebration. Guests dined on matzo ball soup made from scratch by Delucia’s mother, Phyllis Delucia, latkes and sufganiyot and many other holiday treats. Families shared in the joy of the Festival of Lights – playing dreidel, singing traditional songs, and lighting mennorahs. The gathering also paused to remember the victims of the Bondi Beach terrorist attack in Sydney, New South Wales on Dec. 14.
