The Women of Seven Lakes will hold its annual membership Meeting on Thursday, May 7 at 2 p.m. at Chapel in the Pines.

During the meeting, the organization will install the new Board of Directors for the 2026–2027 program year and announce the distribution of funds raised throughout the 2025–2026 year.

As part of its community outreach, the organization will collect donations for Clara McLean House. Needed items include paper towels, napkins, soft sponges (such as Cello brand, no scrubby side), paper plates, heavy-duty plastic utensils, instant oatmeal or protein bars, applesauce or fruit cups, canned soups or broths, and K-Cups.

To add a little fun to the afternoon, current board members will present a demonstration on creating a dessert charcuterie board, followed by an opportunity to sample and share a variety of sweet treats.

Members are also invited to join a planned outing to Lazy Fox Lavender Farm, 272 Edgewood Road, Cameron, on May 14 at 11 a.m. The trip will include a guided tour of the farm and a boxed lunch. The cost is $30 per person. Those interested may RSVP and submit payment at the May meeting.

The final event of the season will be a community blood drive, sponsored by the Women of Seven Lakes and hosted by the American Red Cross. The drive will take place on Wednesday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Seven Lakes North Clubhouse, 118 Firetree Lane.

Appointments to donate blood can be scheduled at redcross.org by selecting “Make an Appointment,” entering ZIP code 27376, and choosing “7 Lakes N Clubhouse” as the location. Both Whole Blood and Power Red donations will be accepted. Throughout the summer, board members will be planning for the 2026–2027 program year.

Feedback from the end-of-season member survey will help guide the development of another engaging program beginning in September.
