Neuropsychologist Karen D. Sullivan, PhD, ABPP, presents “The Importance of Social Connection in Older Adulthood: It Takes a Village,” a free brain health lecture at Penick Village, a life plan community in Southern Pines, on Tuesday, Mar. 27, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
“In this lecture, participants will learn how socialization is fundamental to our quality of life, makes an undervalued contribution to our brain health and affects all aspects of our health: physical, mental and cognitive,” said Sullivan.
The lecture is a part of the I CARE FOR YOUR BRAIN with Dr. Sullivan program, which continues monthly with a different brain health topic through June, providing science-based education that is motivating for action.
Lectures are free and open to the public. Upcoming lecture dates are Apr. 24, May 22 and Jun. 26. For more information, call 833-423-9237 or visit www.icfyb.com.
