On Friday, June 8th, a wreck took place between a grey Nissan Altima and a motorcycle in the intersection of Holly Grove School Road and Dowd Road in West End.
First responders included Moore County EMS, Seven Lakes Fire Department, West End Fire Department, and the Sheriff’s Department.
The motorcycle rider was a 58-year-old male who was flown out to receive medical care. A helicopter landed at the Seven Lakes Fire Department to retrieve him.
The Seven Lakes Fire Department’s sign was damaged as the helicopter took off.
Investigation regarding the incident is still underway.
