We are now looking forward to our October Meeting which will be held on Thursday October 3 at 2pm at the Chapel in the Pines.
Our guest speaker Laura Douglass, a staff writer with The Pilot newspaper, will speak about the importance of community journalism and offer some insight on development and pending road projects in the West End area.

More recently, Laura co-chaired the 2018 Moore County Leadership Institute. She currently serves on the Moore County Literacy Council Board and volunteers as a Girl Scout troop co-leader, and with the Pinecrest Speech & Debate Team and cheerleading squad. Last year she pedaled her way into 1st Place honors at the 2018 United Way of Moore County Tricycle Race.
