Last Saturday, Governor Roy Cooper closed all schools in the state in an effort to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.
Therefore, Moore County Schools will be closed to students from March 16 through March 27. Yesterday afternoon, district administration held an emergency meeting. The following are several important announcements.
Parents of students who need to retrieve personal effects at school should call the school front office to make arrangements. School facilities are closed to visitors unless by appointment.
Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17 will be required work days for all staff. An announcement will be made Tuesday evening for the status for staff for the rest of the week.
District administration is continuing to work with local organizations on providing services to our students most in need. Additional information will be made available as it develops.
The Board of Education Special Called Meeting will proceed as scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 16 at the Central Office in Carthage.
