The Sandhills Woman’s Exchange will host a very special ‘Tea Time at the Cabin’ event on Sunday, December 13, at 15 Azalea Road. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, the very popular Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway Tea Time on the Train held last December has been canceled this year. This year’s holiday event will be sponsored by Victoria Adkins of Coldwell Banker Advantage Real Estate. Adkins stated “the special purpose this year is to raise funds towards the purchase of a new commercial refrigerator for the Cabin kitchen.”
Seating will be limited to two seating’s of 16 guests each at the specified time periods – 10 a.m. to 12 noon or 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The $50 per person ticket reserves a place at the table. Raffle tickets will also be available for prizes from local Pinehurst Village stores and Cabin artisans. For reservations, guests may call 910-295-4677 to prepay for tickets by credit card or visit the Cabin, all methods of payment accepted.
Since the Cabin has also skipped the popular Holiday Open House this year, a relaxed atmosphere will encourage guests to visit the gift shop. Chef Katrina will be serving up all the tea time delicacies with help from white aproned ‘Harvey Girl’ volunteers.
The 1810 historical cabin’s mission statement continues to be ‘helping others help themselves.’ Social distancing practices and face masks will be required to enter before being seated. For more information, check our website www.sandhillswe.org
