COVID-19 Vaccinations at Prescription Shoppe

The Seven Lakes Prescription Shoppe is proud to be offering COVID-19 vaccines for the community. They have been administering the vaccines since late February and are currently receiving the Moderna vaccine.

“The COVID-19 vaccines that we have available in the US range from 70%-95% efficacy, which if you think about it, is far greater than Flu Vaccine efficacy, which ranges from 40%-60% in any given year,” explained Rob Barrett, PharmD, owner of Seven Lakes Prescription Shoppe. “Getting your COVID vaccine is not just a benefit for you, but it’s also a benefit to others so that we can all move past this pandemic.”

According to the CDC, experts believe that even if a vaccinated individual does contract COVID-19, the vaccine will lessen their symptoms and prevent them from becoming seriously ill.

At the Seven Lakes Prescription Shoppe, the vaccine is absolutely free, regardless of insurance status. However, a valid driver’s license or social security card is required, as is an insurance card for individuals with insurance.

“The Seven Lakes Prescription Shoppe is happy and proud to be a part of a solution to the COVID-19 crisis, and this service fits in well with our vision of helping people live their highest quality of life,” said Barrett. He is a firm believer in the Seven Lakes Prescription Shoppe motto: “Where Smiles and Solutions Meet.”

Every day, the pharmacy goes out of its way to ensure clients receive only the best, top-quality care. The shop currently offers free delivery to residents of Moore County and free mailing services all over the state of North Carolina.

In addition, the Seven Lakes Prescription shoppe also offers a “medication synchronization program.” This program, which has become extremely popular, allows clients to receive all of their prescriptions on the same day every month.

Currently, the vaccine is given by appointment only. Appointments open up on the Seven Lakes Prescription Shoppe each week, with availability depending on how many doses are received from the state. The second dose is always scheduled prior to the first dose to avoid scheduling conflicts. Before booking, those interested can also visit https://findmygroup.nc.gov/ to know if they are eligible to receive the vaccine.

To book an appointment, visit www.7lakesrx.com and click on “Book a COVID-19 Vaccine.” If no appointments are available on the website, all appointments for that week are full. However, keep an eye out for appointments opening as the pharmacy receives more doses. For more information or assistance booking an appointment, visit the website or call (910) 673-7467.
