FirstHealth Family Medicine has welcomed Michael Fine, a certified advanced nurse practitioner, to the Seven Lakes clinic in West End.
Fine has worked in emergency care, urgent care and primary care and brings more than 15 years of health care experience.
Originally from Massachusetts, Fine said the warmer weather of North Carolina, year-round access to golf and great opportunities at FirstHealth attracted him to the area.
In Fine’s early career, he worked in behavioral health care as a counselor and advocate.
“I decided to further my education because I found helping patients in need gave me such a sense of worthiness and self-accomplishment,” he said.
Fine earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Elms College in Chicopee, Mass. He earned his master’s degree in nursing with concentration in family nurse practitioner/advanced practice registered nurse from the University of Saint Joseph in Conn.
Fine is committed to partnering with his patients to ensure they receive the highest quality of health care.
“I believe health care should be in collaboration with patients through empathy, active listening and professional guidance,” he said.
Fine and his wife and their three daughters look forward to learning more about the Sandhills and discovering all the area has to offer. When he’s not caring for patients, Fine enjoys hiking, golfing, exercising and music.
To make an appointment with Fine, call (910) 673-0045. The practice is located at 1035-C Seven Lakes Drive in West End.
