The North Carolina Swimming Open Water Swim State Championships, hosted by the Sandhills Sandsharks Swim Team, was held at Lake Echo, in Seven Lakes North, on June 3-4. The annual event is sanctioned by NC Swimming and USA Swimming. Several hundred competitors from across the state participated in races that included a 400 meter Splash and Dash, 800 meter, and 2K, 3K and 5K open water swims.
