The Women of Seven Lakes will tour the James Creek Cider House in Cameron on Oct. 12.
This tour is considered the organization’s October membership event. This October’s monthly event is the second Thursday of the month rather than the usual meeting day of the first Thursday of the month.
James Creek Cider House makes harvest-based ciders from Southern heirloom and cider apple varieties grown in their orchards in Moore County and other North Carolina family farms.
In addition to a tour, Women of Seven Lakes will also see the fruit orchard and enjoy the tasting room and a charcuterie board. There may be apples for sale too.
The tour will start at 2 p.m. at the Cider House. The estimated total time the group will spend at the Cider House will be an hour and a half.
The cost per person is $15.
If you are planning to attend, arrive at the Chapel in the Pines no later than 1:15 p.m. Money for the tour will be collected prior to leaving the chapel. Carpooling is encouraged. The group will leave the chapel to head for the Cider House promptly at 1:30 p.m.
