On Thursday, May 2, the Women of Seven Lakes held their last membership meeting of the 2023/2024 season.

At the meeting the 2024/2025 board members were installed by the former President, Val Doolittle. It was an honor to have Val as their special guest.

The group also thanked Chris Beck and Donna Glover for their service as board members.

Two of the 2024/2025 board members are serving on the new board for the first time: Angie Huber and Barbara Simpson.

Highlights of the past season were displayed via a slide show, and four crafts were showcased and demonstrated. Members enjoyed making either a bookmark, greeting card, framed art or decorating a flowerpot.

One of the main purposes of the club is to engage the charitable enterprise in the Seven Lakes area. As a result of having a very successful year, the women are pleased to have $6,000 to distribute to local area non-profits including the Chapel in the Pines, the Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care, the West End United Methodist Church Food Pantry, Friend to Friend, Partners for Children and Families, Tambra Place, the Seven Lakes Fire Department and the West End Fire Department.

The 2024/2025 Board members are Lee Williams, president; Kathy McNamara, vice president; Gayle van Dijk, secretary; Cathie Wilson, treasurer; Leslie Rose, communications; Sharon Payne, publicity; Angie Huber, membership; Barbara Simpson, membership; and Carla Neiswanger, hospitality.

The Board members will be planning for the 2024/2025 season during the summer. They look forward to another successful and exciting season starting in September.
