Each December, the Seven Lakes Garden Club Board hosts a Holiday Tea and crafting event. The challenge this year was to create a holiday ornament with recycled paper. Members

brought interesting papers such as magazine covers and candy bags.

With their scissors, glue, wooden forms and a few simple instructions and the challenge to be creative and have fun, participants launched into their projects and created unique and

fun ornaments to take home.

The board provided a tasty array of delicious baked goodies and flavorful tea. The event

begins with everyone filling their favorite teacup, gathering a plate of treats, and sharing

fellowship.

As a special treat, a basket containing samples of all the goodies was part of the door prize raffle. The winner was delighted and reported that she gifted the basket to neighbors with children to enjoy.

In the spirit of giving and sharing, members also brought cornmeal muffin mix and canned peaches to donate to the WEUMC Food Bank.
