The Women of Seven Lakes (WoSL) Board members will be busy during the months of June through August preparing for the startup of the 2025-2026 season.
The club would like to remind everyone that its main purpose is to engage the charitable enterprise in the Seven Lakes area. The club distributes the money that members raise from their fundraising events to local area non-profits including the Chapel in the Pines, the Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care, the West End United Methodist Church Food Pantry, Friend to Friend, Partners for Children and Families, Tambra Place, the Seven Lakes Fire Department and the West End Fire Department.
The group launched a new website this year at www.womenof7lakes.com.
Leslie Rose, who was in charge of Communications during the 2024-2025 season, worked very hard and many hours to develop the website.
Check it out to learn more about the club’s mission, supporting charities, fundraising events, community outreach and other scheduled events and meetings. In addition, this past year the group sponsored a new way to raise funds: selling holiday bulbs, flowers and plants by Flower Power.
