Authorities have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with a reported bank robbery at the Truist Bank in Seven Lakes around 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning, according to radio communications.
A notice on the police scanner was sent out for a Black female, standing 5-foot-3 with a gray winter hat as a person of interest following the incident.
Word of the suspect’s arrest was sent out across radio channels shortly after 1 p.m. A heavy police presence was outside of the bank on Lakeway Drive, around lunchtime after the reported robbery.
“Witnesses told investigators that a female entered the bank, demanded money and claimed to be armed with a firearm,” said Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a statement. “The suspect fled the bank on foot after taking cash from the clerk.”
The identity of the individual and other details of the investigation will be released following formal processing of the suspect.
