On October 10, Linda Pearson, Executive Director of the United Way, challenged our club’s knowledge of United Way facts and services. United Way will celebrate 50 years of service to Moore County in 2018.The services and the number of people served have grown over those 50 years. Today the Moore County United Way provides education enhancement services, financial stabilization support and access to health care. 1% of United Way Funds go to the state/national organizations. 99% of their funds stay in Moore County, of which only 13% is allocated to administrative expenses.
