Free Brain Health Lecture Series Continues
With the fear and anxiety associated with dementia on the rise among older adults, board-certified clinical neuropsychologist Karen D. Sullivan leads a free brain health lecture series on Feb. 27 that continues monthly through June at Penick Village, a life plan community in Southern Pines.
Sullivan, owner of Pinehurst Neuropsychology, developed the I CARE FOR YOUR BRAIN with Dr. Sullivan program in order to provide science-based brain health education that is motivating for action for older adults.
The Feb. 27 lecture topic discusses “The Psychology of Aging: Strategies for Better Coping,” with presentations at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Lectures are free and open to the public in Penick Village’s Grand Hall, located at 500 East Rhode Island Ave., Southern Pines. Upcoming lectures dates are Mar. 27, Apr. 24, May 22 and June 26.
