Moore Regional Hospital’s Wound Center Gets National Award for Clinical Excellence

PINEHURST – The Wound Care & Hyperbarics program at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital (MRH) has received a national award for outstanding clinical outcomes in wound healing by Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services.

The program at MRH has achieved patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent, and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 91 percent within 30 median days to heal.

Healogics Inc. is the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. Out of 635 eligible centers, 427 were honored with the Center of Distinction award.

FirstHealth Wound Care & Hyperbarics offers specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds that have not healed in a reasonable amount of time. Treatments include negative pressure wound therapy, debridement, cellular-based issue or skin substitute application, offloading or total contact casts, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
