Alzheimer’s Association to Host Legal and Financial Workshop in Richmond County on April 11

HAMLET, N.C. – The Alzheimer’s Association – Western Carolina Chapter, in collaboration with the Richmond County Dementia Friendly Initiative partners, is hosting an Alzheimer’s educational program called “Legal and Financial Planning for Alzheimer’s Disease” on Thursday, April 11. It will take place from 10 a.m. – Noon at Richmond County Community College, Cole Auditorium located at 1042 West Hamlet Avenue in Hamlet.

This is an interactive program where attendees will have a chance to learn about important legal and financial issues to consider, how to put plans in place, and how to access legal and financial resources near you. The program will be led by Richard Yercheck, a local financial advisor who speaks regionally on the economy, stock market, and personal financial planning. He is a nationally published author and frequent guest on talk radio.

The session is free and open to the general public as well as individuals with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and related dementia diseases, their families and care partners. Professionals interested in learning more about planning, resources, and services that are available may also attend. Light refreshments will be served.
