The Women of Seven Lakes held their final meeting of the 2018-2019 program year. Joan Levitt was thanked for her years of service to the organization providing refreshments, table linens, and decorations to make every meeting special. Although she tried to refuse it, she was given a gift certificate to Harris Teeter for all her time and effort. The slate of Board Members was announced, and those present stood up. The slate presented was approved by those present with a unanimous vote. Lee swore in the new board. Barb Leoncini, the new vice president then took over the meeting. She gave brief bios on the outgoing board members, Lee Connelly, and Linda Stevens, and thanked them for all they had done. They presented them with floral bouquets and gift certificates.
On June 3, the new board consisting, Gayle van Dijk, President, Barb Leoncini, Vice President, Valerie Doolittle, Treasurer, and Donna Christianson, Secretary met to begin planning the 2019-2020 Program year. All came to the table with great ideas and enthusiasm. Retired board members Lee Connelly and Linda Stevens were on hand to offer their expertise. While details are yet to be finalized, we have some exciting meetings planned for the coming year.
