Kenny and Gale Mace have been in the Seven Lakes area since 1972 as the community was first developing, and they continue to serve the community just as they did when they started.
“Kenny worked for his cousin as an electrician until that company stopped. He got his license in ’85, and then we were on our own,” Gale explained.
Mace Electric had been taking safety measures long before COVID-19, but not for the reason of preventing virus spread. They were protecting flooring and light fixtures.
“We’ve always done things like wear shoe covers inside and wearing latex gloves to prevent fingerprints on fixtures we’re setting up,” Gale said. “We’ve been doing that for years.”
These precautions came in handy during the pandemic, and workers have masks that they may wear if a client requests for them to do so for indoor jobs.
Kenny hopes to continue serving the community, servicing both loyal customers as well as new ones.
“He’s been here all these years; we have an established clientele,” Gale said. “We would love to have new customers and meet new people.”
Mace Electric is located at 25 Grant Street in Seven Lakes. They are open Monday – Thursday, but are always available for emergencies. Call (910) 673-0093.
