Bigger and more exciting than before, the third annual Cruisin’ the Park car show presented by the Friends of Aberdeen Library, and chaired by Jewel and Robbie Monroe, will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, at Aberdeen Lake Park.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. for participants, and opens to the public at 9 a.m. The daylong event goes until 3 p.m., so, come out and stroll among dozens of hot rods, antique and vintage cars. There will be a food truck, beverages for sale, DJ music, a 50/50 raffle, raffle prizes and a used booked sale. This is a free event, open to the public.
Judges will select the Top 40, Best of Show, and Best Mopar, Best Ford, Best GMC and Best Special Interest award recipients. Winners will be announced at approximately 2:30 p.m.
Enjoy a great car show and a walk down memory lane as you view vintage cars of another era, dream of racing a hot rod or stare in awe of antique cars. Bring the family and enjoy the fall weather of Moore County, all while helping a nonprofit organization.
Friends of Aberdeen Library’s mission is to raise funds to provide expanded library services by renovating a decades old building into a library for the citizens of Aberdeen and surrounding area. In addition, monies will go toward a Reading Garden across the street from the library. Organized in 2014, the group has raised a small percentage of their overall budget of $850,000 and continues to raise money to begin construction.
