Richard Edwin True passed peacefully at his home, in Seven Lakes West, on Saturday, July 8, 2023. He was 93 years old.
Ed was born on Oct. 25, 1929, in Youngwood, Pa., to Zelma (Kaufman) and Robert True Sr. He worked in the family plumbing business until he enlisted in the Army. Ed was an instructor at the Antiaircraft Artillery and Guided Missile School.

Later, he was involved with the GE computer timesharing services team and ended his career in the medical systems division.
In search of warmer weather, Ed and his wife, Barbara, relocated from Waukesha, Wis., to Seven Lakes West, where he played golf, tennis, poker and enjoyed sunny beach days on Bald Head Island.
Ed will be remembered for his quiet personality, love for his family and as an avid reader. He lived according to his motto, “You should do more good than harm every day.”
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his daughters, Karen Elward (and her husband, Robert), Cynthia Nelson (and her husband, Kenneth); and his grandchildren, Sabrina Elward, Alex King, Jacob King and Joshua Nelson.
