On Thursday, Dec. 7, the Beacon Ridge Nine Hole Ladies League, the Beaconettes, celebrated their winning season with an awards luncheon at the Seven Lakes Golf Club Restaurant.
After lunch, President Mary Ellen Buckley called the general meeting to order. Officers and committee chairs presented their reports.
Prize money from season play was distributed to all members by treasurer Becky Graham. Tournament Chair, Clara Karnish, presented special award certificates as follows: Most Improved, Sunny Ross; Most Birdies, Donna McCallum; Most Chip-Ins, Barbara Card; Hole In One, Sara Swicegood.
Barb Card, the Beaconette Cup Championship Chair, presented the Beaconette Championship award to tournament winner Donalie Bolke.
The Beaconettes are a nine-hole ladies golf league that plays on Thursdays from March through the end of November each year. Winter play is optional. The regular season opener for 2024 is Thursday, March 7. The league is open to all female golfers.
