The Women of Seven Lakes have an exciting lineup of events for spring. From flexing creative and physical muscle to fashion sense there is something for everyone.
It all starts at 2 p.m. on March 7 with a program on “Capturing Memories” at the Chapel in the Pines.
Capturing Memories
Did you know that your old videotapes will deteriorate over time, even when sitting on your shelf? Would you be heartbroken if you lost your treasured family photos? Join the Women of Seven Lakes for a fun and informative presentation by Cathy Treacy.
Treacy moved to Seven Lakes in May 2022 from Clastonbury, CT. She holds a degree in marketing from Boston College. While working full-time as a pharmaceutical sales representative in New York City, she went to school at night to earn an MBA from St. John’s University.
After moving to Connecticut, she switched gears into the hospitality industry as director of sales for the Goodwin Hotel and director of marketing for The Village Event Venue. While she was a full-time mom and caretaker to her sister and mother, Treacy started mastering her love of photography and passion for preserving memories.
In May, she plans to launch her business, Picture This, a full-service company specializing in organizing and scanning photos, transferring VHS and camcorder tapes to digital format, editing photos and creating unique photo gifts and books. You can reach Treacy at cathytreacy1@gmail.com.
Treacy will give an overview of how you can preserve your memories digitally. Do you have a big box of photos lying around somewhere? In addition to sharing tips on organizing them, Treacy will also provide you with ideas on what you can do with your photos and videos to share them with friends and family and create one-of-a-kind gifts. This event is free for members and $5 for nonmembers.
Spring Fashion Show
For its second March event, the Women of Seven Lakes will host a Spring Fashion Show featuring fashions by Lisa’s Boutique of Carthage and Looking for Linda in Vass.
The fashion show fundraiser is being held on Saturday, March 23, from 1-2 p.m. at the Chapel in the Pines. Enjoy a delicious array of refreshments and fresh new looks.
Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Proceeds from this event will go to local area nonprofits.

Exercise with English
Karina English has been the owner and operator of Arena Fit LLC in the Sandhills area since 2021. Her professional training career dates back to 2018, but she started her journey in her teenage years as a competitive powerlifter.
During this time, she set multiple records at the state level in bench press and deadlift and held a national and world record in the deadlift through the World Association of Benchers and Dead Lifters.
Her early success inspired her to pursue and earn a degree in health ecology and subsequent certifications in personal training, small group training and nutrition coaching through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
English creates customized workouts to each client’s abilities, health challenges and goals. She will be addressing the Women of Seven Lakes on April 4 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel in the Pines. This event is free for Members and $5 for non-Members.
