On Tuesday, April 25th, the Seven Lakes Fire Department held a vehicle extraction training event for the firefighters and rescue squad.
A vehicle was towed in for training and safely flipped. The firefighters were given different scenarios to prepare them for real-life rescue emergencies. They practiced safe extraction of imaginary wreck victims and used dummies to further their training.
The training was organized by firefighter Matt Britt. Britt will be leaving the Seven Lakes Fire Department in a few weeks to move to Virginia.
The department hosts a training exercise every fourth Tuesday of the month.
