On November 11th, West End United Methodist Church held a Fall Festival to honor veterans and first responders, and to raise money for recent flood victims in Lumberton, Texas, and other areas. The event featured live gospel music, games and prizes, face painting, and a bounce house for kids.
To raise money for flood victims, WEUMC held a silent auction with over 120 donated items from local businesses and the community. Donated items included homemade soaps and jewelry, a handcrafted dollhouse, artwork, pottery, gift baskets, gift certificates and much more. Church members also sold BBQ, hot dogs, and desserts. All donations and proceeds from the event went to benefit recent flood victims.
