On Saturday December 14, nineteen groups met at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetary at Spring Lake, NC to lay wreaths on some 6200 graves.
A group from Moore County volunteered to help with the Wreaths Across America event. Hundreds of people showed up to help lay wreaths to honor and remember our veterans and to teach our children about what it means.
This event is done in December each year and the Moore County group looks forward to next years event. Always looking for volunteers to purchase wreaths and lay them on the graves. Our Senator Thom Tillis even sent a letter of gratitude to those in attendance.
