On Thursday, July 2nd, Ed Hill led a group of volunteers in setting up flags alongside Seven Lakes Drive in celebration of Independence Day.
“A couple of years ago he put an ad in the paper about getting people to sponsor flags for veterans,” volunteer Regina Birdsell said.
The group of volunteers included Sam Ransdell from Burney Hardware, Ed’s son Caleb, and others who willingly went out in the heat of day to do this noble act of respect for the country.
In total, 125 flags were placed. Ed has been doing this for the community for the past couple of years, and he plans to continue doing it for Independence Day, Veteran’s Day, and Labor Day.
