Fernando Ventura was born and raised in Santa Ana, Mexico before moving to the United States at the age of 22.
Ventura originally moved to Virginia where he worked in a restaurant for several years before moving to North Carolina.
In 2013, he moved with his wife and two sons, Matteo (9) and Andreas (6) to Seven Lakes North. It was then that he and his partner purchased the Casa Garcia restaurant in Seven Lakes Plaza.
“It was named Casa Garcia by the previous owners,” Ventura said. “I always wanted to change it.”
Recently, the partner moved to Texas, and Ventura had the opportunity to buy him out. Being the new sole owner of the restaurant, he decided to finally change the name from Casa Garcia to Casa Santa Ana in honor of his hometown.
Casa Santa Ana was renovated back in March at the start of COVID-19. Changes are still occurring as there is now a new logo, and the menu will be changing around October to feature new authentic Mexican cuisine along with some old-menu classic favorites.
“We want to have different plates; more and better Mexican food,” Ventura said.
The new logo features Santa Ana’s aqueduct which Ventura lived by and admired during his childhood.
“It’s nice. I like it; it’s more authentic,” he said.
Casa Santa Ana currently offers online ordering through the Clover app where customers can view the entire menu, place, and pay for an order to avoid calls and lines.
Delivery is also available Monday through Saturday after 5:00pm. Simply order at EZbitesNC.com for this option.
“We want to say ‘Thank you’ to Seven Lakes for all the support,” Ventura said. “We are working hard to serve you better.”
