The casting call is out: Encore Center in Southern Pines is on the search for aspiring talent to star in not one, but two upcoming productions. Encore is excited to announce the beginning of auditions for the coming Spring Shows, Charlotte’s Web and Smoke on the Mountain.
For Charlotte’s Web, Encore is looking for six actors ages seventeen and up who are available for rehearsals to begin in early April. For Smoke on the Mountain, Encore is seeking seven actors between the ages of sixteen and fifty-five.
Auditions will take place March 6th, 2021 at The Encore Center. Aspiring actors may audition for both Charlotte’s Web and Smoke on the Mountain within the Smoke on the Mountain time frame.
Show dates are currently planned for April 30th through May 2nd and May 7th through May 9th, with student matinees on Friday mornings.
Encore Center began putting on live theatrical performances in August 2019, and has continued to provide Moore County with quality, local shows ever since. Productions typically include a combination of local rising talent and renowned North Carolinian performers. A blended cast allows for a rich viewing experience and breath-taking performances.
Additionally, Encore is a full-service performing arts center. Currently, Encore offers acting and musical theatre classes at select dates and times to those looking to hone their skills or get a start in show business. This summer, Encore will even be offering camps for playing instruments, dancing, and performing. Ambitious performers of all ages are encouraged to take part in Encore’s classes in dramatics, theatrics, music, dance, and the arts.
