Seven Lakes North and South residents have a new security service.
At a special board meeting at the end of June, following a monthlong review and bid process, the Seven Lakes Landowners Association awarded a year-long contract to a new security company, Professional Security and Investigation, Inc. (PSI).
When William Webb, chair of the association’s safety committee, was elected to the board in the spring, he completed a process that began last fall to find a more cost-effective management company for residents in Seven Lakes North and South.
Webb led a security management industry analysis, researching eight security management companies and securing formal contract bids from the best four companies.
“Our deliberate decision making process showcased the optimal cost/benefit contractor, Professional Security and Investigation, Inc. (PSI), which best met our community’s priorities,” Webb said. “Our landowners were fully informed and engaged in the selection process.”
PSI replaces Sunstates Security.
“Their experience and contacts in the area allow us to gain improved security services within our budgeted funds, so we are very pleased with the stewardship of our decision,” Webb said. “ PSI brings improved software and accountability processes which enhance our overall security.”
The new providers started roving security patrols on July 7 and officially took over management of the North and South guard gates on July 28.
A relatively new member of the SLLA board, Webb brings to his position military and corporate management and problem solving experience. He gives credit to board chairperson Heather Guild, who provided institutional knowledge and guidance on the board contract process.
“We are committed to keeping our lovely community as safe and secure as possible,” Webb said.
