Frank and Lou Hayes celebrated 70 years of marriage on Sept. 12 with good friends over breakfast at Greenbow’s. Lou first caught Frank’s eye while she was on the tennis court at their alma mater, Wagner College. They were married at a Methodist church on Staten Island. They attribute their long marriage to having a lot of things in common, coming from strong families, staying happy and healthy and going with the flow. Frank and Lou have two children, seven grandchildren and five-great grandchildren.
