Members of Grace Church in Seven Lakes passed out water at the Seven Lakes intersection on Saturday evening.

Scott came up with the idea of passing out water after hearing a sermon at the church last Sunday about going out into Moore County. The church’s location in Southern Pines did a similar community outreach over ten years ago when they passed out soda at intersections in Southern Pines. The outreach was called “Beyond Our Walls.”
“This is beyond our walls,” Scott explained. “We’ve got to break out of our shell.”
They also passed out cards in addition to water bottles. The cards shared the time and location of Easter Sunday services.

“We don’t know who’s going to walk through those doors,” Manuel Garcia said.
Garcia moved to the community from Florida in late 2015 and has been attending Grace Church in Seven Lakes for over a year.
“It’s really nice,” he said. “It has the same mentality as our church [in Florida].”
“I want to challenge churches to go out and share the love of God,” Scott said.
Grace Church in Seven Lakes will hold two services on Easter morning. The services will take place at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM. Grace is located at 145 West Plaza Drive in Seven Lakes.
